Samford University Softball Camps

Overview

Tyra Perry Softball Camps LLC offers youth and collegiate softball development sessions hosted at Samford University in Homewood, Alabama. The Bulldogs compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Southern Conference.

The program is entering a new chapter under its 12th head coach in history. Tyra Perry, a veteran coach who has accumulated more than 700 career wins and guided teams to six NCAA Tournament appearances during her stints at Western Kentucky, Ball State, and Illinois, was officially named Samford's head softball coach on August 12. The camp brand itself now carries her name, reflecting that transition.

For context on recent program history: the 2026 season, completed under prior head coach Megan Curry, finished with a 33-23 overall record, a 12-7 mark in Southern Conference play, and a third-place finish at the conference tournament. Those results belong to that season's coaching staff and are noted here solely as the most recent competitive record of the program.
