Asbury University Softball Camps

Overview

Eagles Softball Camps is the official youth development program of Asbury University, located in Wilmore, Kentucky. The Eagles compete in NCAA Division III as a member of the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) and also carry an affiliation with the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Coaching Staff

Ally Moore – Head Coach

Moore has led the Eagles softball program since taking over the head coaching role in 2022. A Lawrenceburg, Kentucky native, she spent four seasons (2017–2021) as a pitcher for Asbury before transitioning to the coaching side. She earned a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics (cum laude, 2020) and an MBA (2022), both from Asbury. After sitting out the 2018 season with an injury, she came back in 2019 to collect the program's Comeback Player of the Year honor. As a senior she posted a 3.33 ERA over 124.1 innings, recorded 53 strikeouts, and helped guide the Eagles to a conference-tournament berth. Her career totals of 21 wins, 144 strikeouts, and 20 complete games place her among the program's top pitchers.

Jenn Sarver – Associate Head Coach

A Louisville, Kentucky native, Sarver has served in this role since 2022. She holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice and History from Lindsey Wilson College. Prior to Asbury she spent eight years on the coaching and consulting side at Fern Creek High School in Louisville, first as an independent consultant (2009–2013) and then as Assistant Head Coach (2013–2016). She has described her coaching goal as using the game to make a lasting, positive difference in young women's lives.

Chris Moore – Volunteer Assistant Coach

Facilities

The Eagles play and host camp activities on a softball field situated next to the Luce Center on the Asbury campus. The playing surface—both the grass outfield and the infield dirt—has been resurfaced as part of a broader renovation. Ahead of the 2020 season the infield was regraded and new sod was installed in front of both dugouts and behind home plate. In the summer of 2021 a climate-controlled press box was added behind home plate, offering an elevated vantage point above the grandstands.
